Golfers tee off season with practice round
It was a most welcome chance to get out on the golf course for a “practice competition” that was a three-way meet in disguise.
No team scores were kept, none were needed. This was live golf against golfers other than teammates and it was a weather sneak on an otherwise wet and windy Sanders County day at the Wild Horse Plains Golf Course on the town’s northern fringe.
“We did not score for competition, this was merely a practice round so the kids could get their feet under them,” said Plains High golf coach Lisa Brown.
