A 71-year-old Hot Springs woman died Wednesday as a result of injuries she sustained in a T-bone car crash April 29 near Somers.

The fatal collision occurred at about 10:30 a.m., at the intersection of Montana 82 and U.S. 93 south of Kalispell, according to a Montana Highway Patrol crash report.

A 31-year-old Whitefish man was driving a Volkswagen Tiguan south on U.S. 93 with the Hot Springs woman in the passenger seat. The Tiguan driver turned left, failing to yield to an oncoming GMC Sierra 2500 pickup, and was hit on the passenger side.

The Hot Springs woman sustained a broken neck, back and a ruptured spleen, and was transported to Logan Health Medical Center. The driver of the Tiguan was not injured.

The 43-year-old Columbia Falls man driving the GMC pickup also sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital.

Road conditions were reported as mostly dry.
