Fran Huberty, 84

Born Frances Irene Peterson in Casper, Wyoming to Eric and Frances Peterson Oct. 17,1939. 

Eric traveled for work, with his small family traveling with him. School age approaching they bought a home in Minneapolis, Minn., where Fran would enjoy tap dancing, playing the clarinet, ice skating and fishing with her dad. 

While in high school she worked for a photo shop for a couple of years, graduating in 1957 from Richfield High School.  She would go on to become a Dental Assistant which she enjoyed. It was during this time that she would meet Robert Huberty. Bob joined the Army and was stationed in France. March 30, 1960 Fran flew to New York to board a ship headed for Paris, arriving on April 8. They would marry April 23,1960 in Verdun, France where they would live.  

Finding out they were expecting their first child Fran would stay until late in her pregnancy before returning to Minneapolis to give birth to John. Bob returned stateside joining his wife and son, they would make their home in Minneapolis and soon add another son, Jim. 

In the early 70s they would purchase property in Montana and start a new adventure. Fran worked in Missoula until they moved to their home on Quartz Flat.  She worked for Dr. Bauer as his Dental Assistant, later she became a CNA and worked for Mineral County Hospital and then Castles IGA. The boys were involved in 4-H with their beef projects, after they left home,  Fran and Bob decided on raising sheep which she loved doing.  When it came time for the 4-H kids needing a lamb, Fran was happy to charge them $20 and then donate it back to them for their projects. Fran is preceded in death by; her parents, husband Bob of 51 years and daughter-in-law Frieda.                             

Survived by sons John [Judi], Jim [Tammy], four grandkids Justin [Tiffany], Rhianna [Dan],  Eric [Tonya], John [Tiffany] five great grandchildren, sister-in-law Mary Jane [Dennis] and cousin Penny, and numerous other family and friends. Funeral to be held at the Superior High School Gym May 18th at 11:00 A.M. with luncheon to follow.
