Most locals refer to this kindness as simply "commodities" which is serviced by the Western Montana Area VI Agency on Aging in Polson. The every-other-month food supplement served 90 Mineral County residents over age 60 that met the requirements of receiving the groceries. The volunteers are a dedicated group, and the St. Regis Senior Citizen's Center operates the program at the county level. (Monte Turner/Mineral Independent)
