PHOTO: St. Regis holds cleanup day

Friday, April 25, was Community Clean Up Day for the students at St. Regis School. Each spring, during the week of Earth Day, they spend part of a school day collecting trash around the school grounds, streets in town, and at the community park. The third-grade class made a trek around the school's fence line, grabbing litter and putting it in trash bags as they walked along. The youngest classes worked in the school yard, while the older grades picked up rubbish throughout neighborhoods, and raked at the park. (Mineral Independent/Amy Quinlivan)
