Barbara Rose (Furth) Larson, 84
Barbara Rose (Furth) Larson, 84, passed away August 8, 2025 at her home in Plains,
Montana. She was born April 10, 1941 in Rochester, Minnesota to Norbert and Patricia (McPhee) Furth. Barb (as she was known) grew up in Faribault, MN and went to Bethlehem Academy.
She ran around with a group of friends, calling themselves "The Great Eight". They remained great friends until her passing.
Barb and her family moved to Plains in 1976. She was a secretary at Valley Insurance where she met her future husband, Clint Larson. They were married May 1, 1981 and shared 44 wonderful years together.
Barb loved her job cooking at Clark Fork Valley Hospital and soon became a friend to everyone. She listened as people shared their problems with her, and Clint would kid her that she should put out a sign: "You Talk, I'll Listen."
After she left the hospital, she went to work for the Rittenour Medical Clinic as a front desk receptionist where she greeted everyone with a smile. She enjoyed the people she worked with very much. Barb LOVED to craft. Starting out with painting wooden figures that Clint cut out for holiday decorating, home decor and more, she also enjoyed scrapbooking and creating homemade cards for friends and family.
Clint and Barb moved to Bellingham, WA where she retired and took care of their home and her husband. She used her grandmother skills to babysit neighborhood kids. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society where she met and made many new friends. She loved attending and tailgating at the Seahawk games and made it to a few Mariners games too. She enjoyed watching them on TV as well. They came back to Montana and lived in Polson for three and a half years and then back to Plains in 2018. She loved sitting around the fire in Cheri and Calvin's backyard making smore's and telling stories.
