April 17, 1925 – Dec. 20, 2024
June Augusta (Rice) Anderson passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Sonja and Ray Godin.

June was born in Sandpoint, Idaho, to Augusta and Gunder Rice, the seventh of nine children. One of her fondest childhood memories was following her father around the lumber mill, where he served as superintendent.

Before her marriages, June worked at her sister’s ice cream parlor, as a telephone operator, and later at Boeing, where she ran a drill press and measured bushings. She married Bob Pearce in 1945 and later John Anderson in 1958. Between the two marriages, June was blessed with five children: Ron (Judy), Pam (Darrell), Linnea (Ken), Laura, and Sonja (Ray).

June ensured her children grew up with faith, making Trinity Lutheran Church a central part of their lives. She was deeply involved in the church community, teaching Sunday School, participating in Ladies Aid, LWML, and the Altar Guild. Her love for Christmas was evident in her joy for decorating and hosting annual family dinners in various locations.

June and John managed 24 apartment units in Superior, where they often extended kindness by helping tenants in need. A steadfast Republican, she even insisted John switch political parties before they married. She cherished attending events like the Governor’s Ball and enjoyed life’s celebrations with family and friends.

Though she wasn’t ready to leave the family she loved so dearly, June was unafraid of passing, confident in the promise of eternity with Jesus. Her family is deeply grateful to Partners in Home Care for their compassionate support in her final weeks.

In line with June’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral. Instead, Pastor Fitch offered a few words about her during church service on December 22, with many family members in attendance.

Her legacy of love, faith, and resilience will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
