The year 2024 came to a spectacular close, marked by a vibrant display of fireworks and a jubilant crowd at Quinn’s Hot Springs Resort near Paradise.

The annual New Year’s Eve celebration, a tradition that began 15 years ago, once again saw Quinn’s team up with pyrotechnics expert Steve Underwood, owner of Rocketman Pyros, to delight guests with a dazzling show. Underwood, who founded Rocketman Pyros in 2005, orchestrates around 67 firework displays annually across the Northwest.

The evening kicked off with dinner at the Paradise building, accompanied by live music from Northern Lights, a Missoula-based band that has become a beloved fixture at Quinn’s events over the years. This year’s gathering drew 167 attendees.

Underwood shared that he and his assistant, Dylan Ray, launched more than 1,000 fireworks during the 6-minute display, with some reaching impressive heights of 200 to 400 feet.

The spectacular show attracted viewers from across the region, including Alihn Anderson and Brynn Courville from Dixon, who remarked, "It was pretty neat to see something like this."
