SECTION 00 11 16 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Separate sealed bids for construction of TOWN OF PLAINS WATER SUPPLY IMPROVEMENTS will be received by TOWN OF PLAINS at the office of 101 WEST LYNCH ST, PLAINS, MT 59859 until 2:00 PM local time on JULY 15, 2025, and then publicly opened and read aloud. The project generally consists of, but is not necessarily limited to, the following major items: THE TOWN OF PLAINS WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT INLCUDES A NEW UPPER LYNCH CREEK ROAD WELL AND REPLACEMENT OF THE DISINFECTION SYSTEMS AT CITY WELL AND BALCH WELL.  Prospective Bidders must purchase contract documents through QuestCDN. QuestCDN is a web-based platform for construction project advertisements, bid documents distribution and plan holder lists. Prospective bidders will need the seven-digit QuestCDN project number (#9757008) to locate the job on the QuestCDN website search page. Bids will not be accepted from any prospective bidder who has not purchased contract documents through QuestCDN. Only firms obtaining documents by these methods will be placed on the Plan holders List.   Complete electronic Project Plans, Specifications, and Bid Proposal Packet are available at the Morrison-Maierle website “www.m-m.net”, by clicking on the “Projects” tab, scroll down, click on ‘view our current projects bidding’, and select this project from the project list. Prospective bidders may view the bid documents at no cost under ‘view bid documents’. There is a non-refundable fee of $40.00 to download the documents. A tour of the project site(s) will be conducted after the meeting. All laborers and mechanics employed by CONTRACTOR(s) or subcontractors in performance of the construction work shall be paid wages at rates as may be required by the laws of the United States and the state of Montana in accordance with the schedule of Davis-Bacon prevailing wage rates established by the United States Department of Labor and /or the schedule of Montana Prevailing Wage Rates established by the Montana Department of Labor and Industry included in the Project Manual. The CONTRACTOR must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier’s Check, or Bid Bond payable to Town of Plains, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. Successful BIDDERS shall furnish an approved Construction Performance Bond and a Construction (Labor and Materials) Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful BIDDER(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided. The right is reserved to reject any or all Proposals received, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period of not to exceed sixty (60), and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid which is in the best interest of the Town of Plains.
