Local hoopers make All-Star rosters

The Class C all-state and all-conference basketball teams have been announced, with several players from Sanders and Mineral counties schools represented.
Topping the boys Class C all-star roster is Noxon senior post Shane Murray, who was named to the All-state team and to the Western 13C conference first team.
The 6-5 Murray was a force under the basketball offensively and defensively for the Red Devils, often leading the team in scoring, rebounding and shots blocked for the regular season, 13C co-leaders from Noxon.
He was joined on the all-state list by St. Regis’ outstanding sophomore guard Conner Lulis, who was also named to the 13C first team. Lulis was instrumental in leading the Tigers to the Western Division tournament title in Butte.
Also named to the all-state roster for Class C boys were a pair of Lincoln players, junior post Roegan Dietz and forward Teegan Riddle. Dietz was outstanding on offense and defense for the Lynx, while Riddle was a key part of their offense throughout the year.
Seeley-Swan junior Derrick Brovold was also an all-state pick as well as first team all-conference.
Other players from Sanders and Mineral counties named to the all-conference roster were: Noxon senior Cameron Blair, Noxon junior guard Justice Kayser and Noxon forward Ricky Williams.
St. Regis, in addition to Lulis, landed senior Hunter Stolla and Ayden Rael, both of whom made the all-conference second team. Rael and Stolla were critical parts of head coach Jesse Allan’s grueling, high-energy defense and both were also capable of hitting three-pointers or driving the lane.
Also named to the all-conference second team was Hot Springs senior post Nick McAllister, and Alberton junior forward Shea Fredette,
Several local girls (Sanders/Mineral) were also selected to the all-state and all-conference teams, led by Charlo senior Seeley McDonald, who was all-state and first team-all conference for the Vikings.
Hot Springs was represented by four players, including first teamers Brooke Jackson, a senior forward, and junior guard Kara Christensen. Also making the list for the Lady Heat were French foreign exchange student Lilia Sapanel, who emerged as a scoring and rebounding threat for Hot Springs, and quick guard Callie Cano. Both were named to the all-conference second team.
Seeley had the most players from this area chosen to the teams with five.
