Wildfire Protection Plan open house

| March 19, 2025 12:00 AM

Mineral County has taken proactive measures to protect its communities and infrastructure from wildfire hazards developing an updated Community Wildfire Protection Plan for 2025.

The plan will serve as a guiding document that will assist the county and landowners in making informed decisions with respect to wildfire preparation and management.

On Tuesday, March 25, the county will host a public open house at the St. Regis Community Center at 230 Lobo Loop, in St. Regis from 4-6 p.m. This will be an opportunity for the community to learn about the plan, visit with Mineral County staff and fire personnel, and ask questions about the development process. Information will be on display and light refreshments will be provided; a short presentation will take place shortly after the start of the meeting, around 4:15 p.m.
