McCarthy wins Plains trustee election

Colleen McCarthy was elected to the Plains School District Board of Trustees in the May 6 election.

McCarthy tallied 616 votes to top candidate Robert Cutlip's 360 votes. There were four write-ins.

In the Hot Springs trustee election, Jennifer Christensen and Chuck Stephens were elected to the school board. Christensen had the highest vote total with 265 ballots, with Stephens earning 165 votes. They will serve three-year terms.

Also on the ballot were Brenda Herron, Tara Key and Reiley Winebrenner.

In the Noxon rural fire district trustee election, Teri Wilkinson and Joel King were elected to the board.

Wilkinson had 128 votes and King had 117.

Also on the ballot were Eric Moore and Charity Mitchell.
