"American Beauty" will be the 24th annual quilt show held by the Cabin Fever Quilters of Mineral County on Aug. 1 and 2.

Held in conjunction with the Mineral County Fair in Superior, the show exhibits quilts made by local quilters employing a wide variety of techniques. The 2025 Mystery Challenge quilts along with numerous pieces of art will be on display. There will be a display of service quilts made by the guild to be given away to military veterans. The hours for the show are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., each day in the Superior High School.

We encourage quilters of all ages and abilities to enter the show. Quilted items can be any size and either hand or machine quilted. The guild asks that you pre-register your quilt by Friday, July 18 in order to enter. Non-members of Cabin Fever Quilters are limited to 2 entries and a $10 fee per quilt entry is required. Entry forms are found at the MSU extension office in Superior, The Fabric Pixie Quilt Shop in Plains, or you can contact quilt show chairman Naomi Mesenbrink at 406-591-5753.

The featured quilter will be Laura Diko, of Superior, Montana. As a guild, we are excited to highlight the talents of Laura at this year’s Quilt Show and hope her artistic flair will inspire others.

A quilt will be raffled called “American Beauty”. The quilt is made using vibrant batik fabrics that highlight the colorful floral appliques. The raffle will support the guild’s Veterans Project, which is to ultimately supply a quilt to each veteran in Mineral County. Tickets are available at Mineral County events and from guild members. The winner will be announced August 2 at 6:00 PM.

Visitors to the quilt show will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite quilts, as well as participate in the Raffle Baskets & Silent Auction of handmade quilted items, crafts, and other donations. This year’s show will include two Montana vendors: The Fabric Pixie of Plains and Ladybug’s Cabin of Bigfork.

For more information about the show, you may contact Naomi Mesenbrink at 406-591-5753.
