Drew Klasson throws down at “Comp Hole” on the Clark Fork River underneath Triple Bridges and above the Alberton Gorge Wednesday afternoon. While there are many world class waves on the Alberton Gorge section of the Clark Fork River, Comp Hole only appears when the river has between 10,000 and 20,000 cubic feet per second running through it. Comp Hole disappeared Sunday when the river dropped below 10,000 cfs, and it will most likely not return until the next snow melt. For those that still visit the gorge, there are several other play spots that will continue to change as the water level drops.
