The Ray Welch American Legion Post 13 in St. Regis held their annual Memorial Day services last Monday beginning at Mullan Square. Marching to the bridge over the St. Regis River a wreath of Lilacs, made by Tyler Cheesman, was tossed into the waters below. Taps was played, shots were fired, and a prayer was recited before the procession continued onto the St. Regis Cemetery to conclude their ceremony. (Mineral Independent/Amy Quinlivan)
