
Milton Pearce stands where two huge Ponderosa pines trees fell onto his greenhouse almost three years ago. One was on each side, sending Pearce to the hospital from the branches whacking the daylights out of him. The neighbors helped with the salvage effort and The Potting Shed has had exceptional growth since then. (Monte Turner/Mineral Independent)

Originally from Pennsylvania, Milton Pearce and his wife worked for 18 years at the Northwest Indian Bible School in Alberton before moving to their current location in St. Regis 22 years ago.
