Shepherd Miller, a sixth grader from St. Regis School, clasped his hands together, hoping to see the judge's green sign, signaling a correct spelling. His winning word was prototypes. Contestants from Alberton, Superior, and St. Regis went several rounds Tuesday evening, on March 4, during the Mineral County Spelling Bee.
