ALBERTON – A grant was recently issued by the Mineral County Community Foundation, which will help fund babysitter and child care assistant training programs around the county.

Department of Transportation seeks comment
HERON- The Montana Department of Transportation would like to notify the public and seek comments on a proposal regarding the replacement of an existing grade crossing signal system with new electronics and hardware including the addition of gates; as well as, the installation of new improved crossing surface material, on Heron Road west of Heron in Sanders County.
Mullan Road Conference is just around the bend
MINERAL COUNTY – The Mullan Road opened Mineral County up for settlement. With the county’s centennial right around the corner, the Mineral County Historical Society has taken special interest in the Mullan Road Conference.

Relay For Life kicks off in a flash
SANDERS COUNTY - Community members hit the hardwood for Sanders County Relay For Life kickoff festivities in January and February. For the second year, Relay volunteers and community members performed a flash mob dance at local basketball games to raise awareness of this year’s event, scheduled for Aug. 1-2 at Thompson Falls High School. Participants were able to sign up for half off as part of kickoff.
