Hydrogen-powered drones could patrol remote stretch of I-90
Imagine a system that could provide public safety, emergency medical services, law enforcement, fire abatement and communications in one small fleet of hydrogen powered UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) that are able to stay in the air up to 13 hours and to be on call day or night in any weather.

The Clark Fork Valley Minors All-stars are on their way to Meridian, Idaho today for the regional tournament. The tournament starts tomorrow with pool play, and, if the All-stars win they’ll move on to the Cal Ripkin World Series in Maryland next month.

A local group of Mineral and Sanders County residents are holding another event this year to pull friends and neighbors together to celebrate what unites us as communities. The second annual “Better Together: A Community Celebration” will feature music, speakers, games for children, plus food and beverages.

On Jan. 31 there will be a free workshop for “Taking Your Food Business From Concept to Consumer” held at the Ponderosa Building at the Mineral Community Hospital in Superior. The workshop will cover a wide-range of topics including cottage food laws; food product development; business plan development; marketing food products and more. A warning against underage drinking
I have served this community for 14 years and I have been privileged to be a part of the lives of many of the residents of our county in some manner, often at one of the darkest times in your life. I serve as the general surgeon at Clark Fork Valley Hospital and cover trauma services at St. Pat’s on a regular basis. I have been witness to many tragedies that are overtly related to alcohol in our community and I feel I have some authority to weigh in on the conversation we have been engaged in this past summer.
Town meets to discuss Superfund
Members of the Superior community met last Monday with representatives from the Environmental Protection Agency and the Montana Department of Environmental Quality and Forest Service to discuss concerns surrounding the possible listing of Superior and the Flat Creek area as a Superfund site.
