Sheriff's Office orders evacuations for Graves Creek area residents
According to information from West Lolo Complex officials, the areas under the evacuation order are described as “from Cougar Creek south to the intersection of Blue Slide Road and River View Lane.”
Yard sale raises money for historic place
DE BORGIA – While many communities in Mineral County held town wide yard sales last week, one community in the west end of the county was using their version of the event to raise money to make sure a historical landmark does not fall by the wayside.

Three Cats advance to state
The Lady Bobcats had three single players finish in second, fourth and fifth place at the Southwestern B-C Divisional tennis tournament at Superior Friday and Saturday to earn a spot in the state finals.

Bertha Smith
Bertha Helen (Een) Smith, 96, entered into heaven Dec. 3, 2018, passing in Spokane, Wash. She was delivered by her father at the family farm in Black Coulee, Mont., (near Rudyard) July 15, 1922, and had eight siblings.

Fighting fire
Plains-Paradise Rural Fire District and Plains Volunteer Fire Department work to contain large flames at a house fire Thursday evening. The fire was reportedly caused by a faulty space heater.
