Vintage car show returns to Homesteader Days

HOT SPRINGS- The turnout was impressive for the car show during the 64th annual Homesteader Days celebration in Hot Springs on Saturday. Around 30 owners displayed their vehicles for judging in an event that has been absent from the festival for several years.

The 64th annual celebration known as Homesteader Days will be held in Hot Springs on June 7, 8, and 9. The event will feature live music, street games, a rodeo, car show, food and vendors, arts and crafts and parades. The celebration is intended to honor the original homesteaders in the Hot Springs area.

In Montana, the State Department of Agriculture issues private pesticide applicator’s licenses for people interested in purchasing and applying restricted-use pesticides to property they rent, own or lease; or applying general-use pesticides on lands of their immediate neighbors. Pesticide is a collective term including herbicides, insecticides and rodenticides. MSU Extension coordinates the educational component of the licensing process. Commonly applied restricted use products include the herbicide Tordon 22k and strychnine baits used for northern pocket gopher control.
