Cub Scouts hold annual Blue and Gold

The noise level inside the pavilion at the Sanders County Fairgrounds rose a few notches as the Plains Cub Scouts Pack 46/57 held their annual Blue and Gold Banquet Thursday evening. Fourteen Cub Scouts from grades first through fifth and their parents gathered for the banquet and awards ceremony.

The tremendous efforts it took to bring the hydroplane races to Trout Creek over the weekend were almost for naught as the races had to be cancelled Saturday due to dangerous debris floating in the water that can wreak havoc on the hydro boats.

Pair-a-Dice Lost

The still fresh scent of last week's fire lingers in the air of Paradise. The devastating flames eliminated one -third of the town's businesses and left a gaping hole on the edge of the community. Although the Pair-A-Dice bar and grill is in ruins its memories are still rumbling fiercely throughout the town.
