Public land priorities shaping up
Montana’s study of federally managed public lands is set to wrap up within the next few weeks. Reducing catastrophic wildfire conditions, protecting multiple use access, and increasing economic productivity are the most serious priorities I see emerging from our effort.

If you want to strike up a hot topic issue in Mineral County just drop the wolves into any conversation. Most residents weren't happy with the reintroduction when it occurred and now it seems they have even more issues for concern, issues that trace back to the wolf.
Chamber golf tournament to be held
Golfers who were planning on playing in the Mineral County Chamber of Commerce golf tournament this Saturday, June 26, will have a few more weeks to practice and perfect their swing. At the meeting last Tuesday, chamber members discussed changing the date because of a conflicting tournament taking place on the same day.
