Rainy weather brought a cancellation into the Superior tennis girls' schedule last week. They were supposed to play Valley Christian at home on Thursday, but the weather had other plans. On Friday, the girls were at Darby and beat the team 6-1. On Saturday, however, the girls incurred their first loss of the season at the Townsend Duals. The team lost 6-0 to Townsend. They tied 3-3 against Whitehall and Fairfield at the duals, but played strong against Choteau and won 6-2.

Burn season about to begin
The Superior Ranger District has announced that open burning season has begun. The season opened on Tuesday, March 1, and will continue through April 30. During this period, burn permits will not be required for burning that is conducted.

Montana Senator Steve Daines recognized Wyatt Zylawy on April 22, for his outstanding achievements in his recent Coast Guard training and for his noble commitment to serving our country. Zylway graduated from Superior High School in 2015, and joined the Coast Guard. Zylawy was recognized through Daines “Montanan of the Week” initiative, where each week he will highlight a Montanan by submitting a statement of recognition in the official Congressional Record, the document that reflects the official proceedings of Congress.
