On way to state

Clark Fork Mountain Cat Kaleb Ververis will be heading to the state wrestling tournament in Billings next weekend. Ververis placed third in 132 pounds during the Western B-C tournament in Arlee on Saturday (seen here). Overall, the Cats placed eighth in the tournament.  Eureka came in first place with 232, followed by Ronan 140, Libby 118.5, Plains-Hot Springs 108.5,   Thompson Falls 90, Mission-Charlo 78, Bigfork 62, Clark Fork 38, Florence 29, Arlee 5. Basketball Roundup

On Friday night, the Cats faced the Pirates in Victor with a pair of victories. The boy’s varsity won of 55-50 and the girls won 44-34. The Pirates led at the half with 28-24 but the score was tied by the end of the third quarter, 41-41. In the fourth quarter, the Cats pounded back and managed to put 14 points on the board to the Pirates 9 for the win.
