St. Regis students are hitting the golf course this spring
Students at St. Regis are stepping out on the greens this week as the second week of golf practice got underway. With Coach Dan Park nearby to offer advice and strategy, students were driving their balls down the fairway, after teeing off, all while trying to avoid the rough to guide their balls to the putting green where with a light tap, or putt, they finally hoped to put the ball in the hole and call it a game.
Wolves kill miniature horses
St. Regis - When John and Mary Cheesman went to check on their miniature horses on Friday they noticed that four were missing. Being no more than 22 inches tall at the withers, John thought perhaps they’d slipped through a hole in the fence.

Public forum addresses library levy
"We want voters to understand that we know money is short. But we need everyone's support. We are not asking for all we need, just enough to get by. We will not be adding hours or services; we just want to be able to continue to provide services at the present level," said Plains Public Library volunteer Cheri Seli in a plea to the public Thursday evening to increase the current mill levy from four to five in order to get more money in to the library system.

Mild winter has minimal effects of wildlife
It has been an unusual winter here in Sanders County and with only around six weeks of winter left the forecast seems to predict a continuous mild snow season with high temperatures leading into the spring season. What, then, does this mild winter mean for the wildlife in the area?
