St. Regis track team starts practice

Students at St. Regis are once again outside and running. Track practice started last week on Monday and the first meet is scheduled for April 2, in Frenchtown.

Farewell and take care

Two years, one month, and 17 days. That’s how long I’ve been able to call the Clark Fork Valley Press and Mineral Independent office my second home.  With seldom a day off, it’s easy for me to say that these papers have not only been my life for the past few years, but they have been my passion – a burning passion that is hard for me to put out.

Public pool a staple in community

It came to my attention in the last couple of weeks that the Plains Pool was being filled late. Being a strong pool supporter for the last 30 years, this bothered me. When we first moved to Plains, the pool was one of the big drawing points for our family. After our four children spent many wonderful years competing on the Plains Swim Team, I knew I had to investigate the late pool opening.
