If there was anyone in Superior that did not know the Bobcats won the Montana State 8-man Football Championship Saturday, a cavalcade of honking cars, screaming fans and fireworks filled them in as it descended on the town like a foreign invasion Sunday evening.

$60,000 raised at 4-H/FFA livestock auction

Nearly $53,000 went into the pockets and college funds of 4-H/FFA members at the 2018 Livestock Auction held on Saturday afternoon, Aug. 4 at the Mineral County Fair. This doesn’t include the additional $8,000 local businesses threw into the pot to sweeten the deal for the 21 youth who have spent this past year raising the animals for judging and the auction. Altogether, there were 14 swine, three beef, two sheep and one chicken up for grabs.

PEAK show a smash hit in Alberton

It was an entertaining evening of frogs, skits, singing, and dancing as the PEAK Foundation presented their Variety Show 2017. Young and old Alberton residents took to the stage and delighted a full-house on Saturday, February 25. The production marked the fifth live theater production the Foundation has put on and featured 14 acts. It had grown from last year’s variety show which only featured four acts.
