Vehicle retrieved from 600 foot drop into the river
ST. REGIS – Thursday, January 9, crews from Schober’s Towing were dispatched to recover a vehicle from the shallows of the Clark Fork River, which had gone off the top of the hill on Mill Creek Road.

Montana Highway Patrol reminds drivers to slow down near plows, emergency responders
Winter weather advisories had been issued for the entire western half of Montana starting last Tuesday and continued throughout the week of Dec. 26. Numerous vehicle accidents were strewn across Interstate 90, as well as surrounding areas, as a result of the hazardous driving conditions, including a collision between a passenger vehicle and a Missoula County plow truck on Dec. 28 near mile marker 87.

Public comment open for Walleye in Noxon Reservoir
NOXON - Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (MFWP), Region One, is seeking public comment for the Investigation of Suppression of Walleye in Noxon Rapids Reservoir public draft environmental assessment, a proposal to conduct a 6-year effort to investigate suppressing illegally introduced walleye in Noxon Reservoir using a variety of sampling gear and techniques. Beginning in spring of 2013 and continuing until 2018, MFWP proposes to intensively electrofish and/or gillnet the upper portion of Noxon Reservoir from Flatiron FAS to the Thompson Falls Dam until the end of May or June, or until walleye are no longer concentrated in the spawning area. Additionally, these or other techniques may be used to exploit other seasonal concentrations of walleye throughout the reservoir over the 6-year project time line.

Such a national frustration is being called to attention with great clarity and interest in America as we speak. This involves Sen. Bernie Sanders campaigning for president on the Democratic ticket. On July 1, Sen. Sanders drew 10,000 people into the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Madison, Wisconsin. This was the largest crowd drawn by any candidate in 2015.
