Mineral County Pioneer Council announces schedule changes
Due to a decrease in operational funding, for those who have used the Mineral County Pioneer Council for transportation to Missoula and Plains for short notice medical appointments, those services will no longer be available.

Nicole Guill guilty on all counts
As she had done for most of her three-day trial, Nicole Guill kept her emotions stifled and hidden as the jury read the three guilty verdicts, it wasn’t until the handcuffs were clasped around her wrist that one could see a crack in her stoic-facade, as she tearfully turned around to address her few supporters in the Sanders County Courthouse before being led to jail Friday.

Committee formed to get county jail reopened
Discussions continued on Friday at the Mineral County commissioners’ meeting regarding the closure of the county jail. It closed the previous Friday due to insufficient staffing. After a jailer was let go and two more quit over the past few weeks, it left only two jailers to staff the facility.

SANDERS COUNTY – Over one hundred 4-Hers had a busy weekend of presentations. They rehearsed their speeches, practiced their chosen skill, finished their posters, loaded their props and tried to repress any nervousness. Some scored higher than others but all gained a learning experience.
