Danielle's column: What goes around comes around

Colin's Sports Column: gearing up for spring sports

Being the new guy is hard. Being the new guy in a small town is really hard. Being the new guy in a new town at a new job is just plain terrifying. Especially if it’s a job I have no experience doing. This is the prospect I faced when driving to Plains, MT to accept my new position at the Clark Fork Valley Press. Now: to be fair, I can shoot pictures and I can write. However, I have absolutely no experience in covering hyper-local sports. The work on the $3.5 million project is nearing completion and on Aug. 7 the committee met in Superior where erosion from the spring flooding on Flat Creek was discussed. Flooding damaged the newly planted vegetation and made the stream bank unstable causing the stream to braid into other areas according to Bob Wintergerst with the U.S. Forest Service.
