The Thompson Falls Beautification Committee held an open house at the Library Annex in Thompson Falls on Tuesday, Jan. 4 as a way to obtain community feedback for their plans for improving the Rose Garden Park. 'Barefoot in The Park' performed in Plains
The Jean Morrison family and the Plains Public Schools brought the Montana Repertory Theatre to Plains Monday, Jan 23 to begin their 50th Anniversary tour. The professional acting company first stopped in Plains with “The Rainmaker in 1989, making this the 28th year Plains has been the first stop on the national tour. Jean Morrison, Plains Public Schools and Montana Repertory Theatre helped bring the production of “Barefoot in the Park” to life. The play is a delightful and sometimes uncomfortable look at the struggles of a recently newlywed couple and the people they meet in their New York brownstone apartment.

Quilters sponsor raffle
The Cabin Fevers Quilters Guild is once again sponsoring their raffle quilt fundraiser. The money raised will be given to a Mineral County Nonprofit Organization. This organization must have an IRS 501(c)3 nonprofit designation. This year, the raffle quilt will depict the past ten years of the Guild’s existence. If your organization is nonprofit and you want to be the recipient of the Cabin Fever Quilters 2011 raffle quilt please submit an application and letter of interest to the Cabin Fever Quilters Guild, PO Box 296, Superior, MT 59872.
