4-H trap shooters practice at Plains Trap Club

About ten 4-H participants gathered at the Plains Trap Club to practice blasting clay discs out of the air with shotguns on Saturday. Shotgun in hand, students as young as 11 years old stepped up to a microphone, yelled “pull” and fired 12 gauge rounds at a clay “pigeon” travelling approximately 90 miles per hour.

In the Clark Fork Valley Press on Feb. 20, there was a column written by Morlene Plouzek who is president of CAN in Thompson Falls. In this column, she did battle with some imaginary opponent called an anti-environmentalist. She further states that anti-environmentalists have not come up with any solutions.

Ronnie Trentham stood in front of a gym full of junior high and high school students and explained why he no longer has a jaw bone. His face now deformed as a result of oral cancer caused by using chewing tobacco. It was a part of “Kick Butts Day,” a nationwide event to raise awareness on the problems caused by tobacco use.

The Miami Dolphins are as bad of a football team as there is anywhere, with uniforms to only complicate things, and need no further discussion. The Patriots, however, do require some conversation.
