Play transports Superior
Montana Shakespeare in the Parks brought the Superior audience back to Venice and Belmont in the mid-1950s. The traveling actors performed Shakespeare’s “The Merchant of Venice”.

Ze Merry Maries a capella group together for 10 years
“It all started with a story on NPR in 2008,” says Deb Achatz of Trout Creek, who first dreamed up the area’s long-time comedy a capella group, Ze Merry Maries. She was struck by a piece saying that performance art was not taught in schools as much as it used to be.

The year 2017 was ushered in on the back of an epic snow storm which dump nearly a foot of snow on the valley in early January. It was just one of many natural disasters and phenomenon which dominated headlines throughout the year.

The St. Regis Lady Tigers squared off against the Lady Vikings in Charlo on Friday, Dec. 8 with a win, 38 to 27. The Vikings held a one point lead at the end of the first quarter with 10 to 11. But in the second quarter the Tigers turned up the heat and added 14 more points to the board making it 24 to 18 at the half.
