Local Plains churches celebrate Christmas
It was a beautiful snowy evening Dec. 10 when local musicians and singers gathered together at a Plains church in celebration of Christmas. The concert was open to the public and was a non-denominational event, supported by many churches in the Plains area.

Michael J. Thane, fierce individualist, was born on July 4, 1949, and passed away on Aug. 18, 2018, with his brother Tim and sister-in-law Michelle by his side.
Superior School locked down briefly
Superior School experienced a brief lockdown when a student made disparaging remarks to the high school principal, Chris Clairmont on Friday, March 9. The remarks were concerning enough for Clairmont to take action for both the high school and the elementary school to be on lockdown for almost an hour.
