Plains students help spread Christmas cheer
Students from Plains High School art classes scattered around town last week to paint a bit of Christmas cheer on local shop windows. A number of their art creations can be seen throughout the town. The week prior the local Lions Club helped hang holiday lights and decorations in town.
Report from week three: Bills are starting to work their way through
This week saw the hustle and bustle the Legislature is known for. The bills are now coming out of committees and on to the floor in greater numbers. The Senate has also passed enough bills across the floor that they are even showing up in House committees and vice versa.

Clark Fork Mountain Cats head into districts with high hopes
Districts for 13C basketball will be held this week in Hamilton from Feb. 17 through Feb. 20. The Clark Fork Mountain Cats boys will go into the tournament in third place. They are tied with Philipsburg, who is the number two seed. Missoula’s Valley Christian will go into the tournament with one loss.
Plains alumni return to teach basketball camp
PLAINS - Monday through Wednesday of last week the Plains High School (PHS) gymnasium was filled with the sounds of dozens of basketballs being dribbled and shot. Starting at 9:00am and finishing at 11:30am, first graders through seventh graders participated in the 2015 Basketball Camp of Champions. From noon to 3:00pm grades eighth through twelfth participated in the camp.

Summer camp enriches lives in Hot Springs
HOT SPRINGS- Participants in the 2013 Hot Springs Summer Arts Camp demonstrated what they had learned in the previous two weeks during a show and exhibition at the senior center on Friday. Visual arts were on display as about a hundred audience members filed into the facility to watch a presentation by the performing arts students.
Lady Tigers jump into basketball season
Layups, jump shots and passing technique was just the tip of the iceberg as the Lady Tigers jumped into the 2010-2011 season of basketball. Practice started over at St. Regis for girls’ basketball on Nov. 22. Coach Janelle Pruitt said that the first few practices went well though she noted that some of the girls need to catch up on a few things.
