Experts say it could still be a bad year for grasshoppers
Though this year has not yet become a terribly bad year for grasshoppers, and last year was supposedly worse, it is still likely to create conditions to bring a hard time onto locals and farmers.

Connie L. Waldmeier, 64, of Girard, IL passed away Tuesday evening, August 28, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL. She was born on Dec. 23, 1947, a daughter of Jacob and Maxine Wilson Copple Sr. in Litchfield, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands, Leonard Montgomery and Calvin Waldmeier.
Officials discuss summer work in Superior
Superior residents had a lot of questions for officials on Wednesday night at a meeting concerning the soil samples that the Environmental Protection Agency had done last summer and work that is being planned for this summer.
