Tricon, community gather to help one of their own
ST. REGIS – Tricon Timber and the county community came together to help one of their own, Saturday, holding a benefit auction to raise money for a resident who had lost everything.

The rural providers found they have difficulty in funding the community based services which are a critical component of Montana’s health care system.

Mineral Community Hospital reaches agreement with Humana

Montana aims to join FirstNet emergency network
When disaster strikes, communication is key for emergency responders. However, communication devices and coordination continues to be a challenge, especially in rural areas like Mineral County. Currently, George Gupton chairs the Mineral County Local Emergency Planning Council and Bryce Nordgren chairs the Emergency Communications subcommittee and is the Amateur Radio Emergency Service coordinator, and these are the topics regularly addressed at their monthly meetings.
Community Notes
There will be a forum for candidates running for the Mineral Community Hospital Board. Four current board members are up for re-election and all positions are contested. It will be held on Wednesday, April 18 in the multipurpose room at the Superior High School. The time has not been announced yet.
Blackfoot makes donation at fair to Superior Fire
Blackfoot Communications is named after the Blackfoot River and started as a cooperative almost 70 years ago in the Clinton region.

The annual Mineral Community Hospital Health Fair is Saturday, May 12, with vendors who are excited to share their services to Mineral County. There will be live demonstration of telemedicine between Providence St. Patrick Hospital and Mineral Community Hospital.
