A social hour was held Monday night in Plains school cafeteria for members of the public to come  and meet the four finalists in the running to become the new superintendent of Plains Schools.

New plans set in motion for the Fort Thompson Project and updating the Rose Garden Park

Landscape Architect and President of Silverline Projects Jennifer Fielder has drawn up a detailed preliminary concept plan for the “Fort Thompson” Historical Park and Visitor Center, redoing what is currently known as the Rose Garden Park and Ron’s Service and U-Haul located in downtown Thompson Falls.

Firefighters contain 65-acre Bald Hill Fire

Lolo National Forest Firefighters were successful Saturday in containing the Bald Hill Fire on the Superior Ranger District, keeping it to 65 acres. Firefighters are continuing to mop up the fire area and will monitor it for fire activity. All other initial attack fires on the Lolo National Forest from recent lightning were also contained today.
