Plains runners improve times at Mountain West Classic

It had all the makings of a miserable day.  As the Plains and Thompson Falls cross country team bus approached Arlee and Evaro last Saturday, they were met with a wall of clouds, rain, lightning and thunder.  With the teams headed towards Missoula for the annual Mountain West Classic cross country meet, the mood on the bus was getting somber as the kids and coaches were thinking that the day was going to be long, muddy, wet and cold.  But, as the bus approached the University Golf Course on the south end of the University of Montana campus, the rain quit, the clouds thinned and a bit of sun began to poke through.  That turn of good fortune was a signal of the day to come for the Horsemen and Trotter harrier squads.

He and his wife Mia came together like sort of like clockwork to run their small business, Saint Regis Clocks and Collectibles. They are a registered business with the state, servicing and selling antique and vintage clocks from all over the world.

Charles James Antos, Sr.

Charles James Antos, Sr. age 78 of DeBorgia, passed away on February 16, 2008 in Missoula. He was born in Chicago on October 22, 1930 to Olga Antos and was married on June 20, 1959 to June. He loved hunting, fishing and sports but most of all family. He is survived by his wife June, son Thomas and Linda Otzwirk, daughter Deb and Jim Tatowski, son Mike and Lori Antos, daughter Lynn and Dennis Startin, son Chuck and June Antos and many, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters and one son. There will be a Celebration of Life in his honor on August 16, 2008 in Haugan on Savenak Road at 2 p.m. followed by a pot luck pig roast.
