Bosslift recognizes Montana employers
Sailboat enthusiasts enjoying the calm waters of Flathead Lake in Montana last week were a little startled to have a pair of UH-60 Black Hawks and a CH-47 Chinook come thumping down the lake and drop down between the snow dusted peaks of the majestic Mission Mountains. Montana Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) capped off National ESGR week, September 19-25, with an employer BOSSLIFT out of Kalispell Montana. A BOSSLIFT allows employers an opportunity to learn what their National Guard and Reserve members do on a drill weekend…including training in a Black Hawk or Chinook helicopter.

Clark Fork Valley Hospital official says Covid-19 vaccine safe
I think medicine in general struggles to explain complex subjects in a media environment where only sound-bites are heard and only a few characters on are read. Nuance and long explanation are difficult.

A day at The Paw Spa
Let’s face it, dogs stink. They roll in foul smelling things they find in pastures, mountain trails, and even their own back yard. The smellier, the more they seem to enjoy it. They also enjoy romping through the mud and thistles and can end up pretty messy by the end of the day. Despite these habits, people love their dogs. As of 2017 over 60 million U.S. households owned a dog and $69.5 billion was spent on these furry family members, according to an American Pet Products Association survey.

Precision rifle series puts shooters to the test
A slight breeze cut through the crisp morning air at the Butte Gun Club as the shooters toted their rifles to the firing line. One by one, the competitors took their positions. At one stage, a man stepped into an old claw-foot bathtub and rested the front of his rifle on the metal rim. To his right, another shooter contemplated how to best support his rifle on a giant rubber tire while the shooter on the stage to his left took to his stomach on a rickety-looking raised wooden platform.
