I just ran across probably the best comment ever on what is motivating people to support Donald Trump in the primary. It comes from Jim Hightower, National Radio Commentator, writer and public speaker. Here is what he wrote in an article entitled: “The Money Primary.” This is good stuff.

From the fire hall
I would like to take this time to provide the Town of Plains with a report of the past years activity of the Plains Volunteer Fire Department. During 2009 we have been successful in maintaining our membership, upgrading and/or replacing outdated equipment, restructuring our primary mission, completing two successful fund raising events, initiating plans for a new fire hall and training our members to basic as well as advanced qualifications; all the while providing fire protection and emergency service to the community.

HOT SPRINGS - What is MOSSE? It stands for Montana spectrUM Science Experience. It is a traveling exhibition that is a run by the University of Montana, which hosts science programs for community schools in Montana. 75% of the schools which MOSSE visits are in rural communities.

Christine Sheldon Howe born February 28th 1952, died at her home in Plains, of a heart attack due to her treatments for melanoma. She left us too soon, on Sunday April 28th.
The 'rule of law' in Sanders County
In the light of the Primary Election, it is good to have learned, at the April 28th JBS Sheriff's forum, that neither of the remaining candidates will take on battles with the federal government. When the United States enacts a law that is repugnant to the US Constitution and the Montana Constitution, both candidates promised to not interfere. Rather, they will defer to the Montana Attorney General or to the Governor.

Sanders County track teams compete at Ronan
After only one meet, the Plains High School track and field team has put up some impressive numbers. Ben Gorham had his longest toss ever in the shot put with a throw of 45 feet, four inches. Gorham accomplished the feat under less than desirable conditions, throwing in a downpour at the meet in Ronan.
Halloween celebrated at Thompson Falls trail run
Fifty runners of varying ages ran in the Thompson Falls Community Trail Committee’s Trick or Treat, Move Your Feet 5K Run and 1-mile Fun Run/Walk last Saturday morning at Northwestern Energy Power Park.
