V.F.W. Auxiliary gets in holiday spirit

It all came to a head Monday as wives, widows, and daughters of servicemen, who have been working since October, prepared care packages to be sent to soldiers and units abroad and statewide. 24 boxes were put together, filled with magazines, hygiene items, snacks, candies, handmade letters from Plains Elementary, crosswords and books, all of which was donated or bought by the ladies.

PLAINS - The 2013 spring sports season may be over; but, the honors keep rolling in for the Plains High School Track & Field team. The Montana High School Association, in cooperation with the Montana Army National Guard, recently announced their 2013 Spring Sports Academic All-Team Awards. And, right at the top of the list for the Class B Boys and Girls squads were our very own Horsemen and Trotters.

Doris Marie (Sorenson) Marjerison (64) of Stevensville passed away on March 31st after living her life with cancer for the last 13 years. She was born on May 20, 1949 in Dillon, Montana, the daughter of Elmer and Thelma Sorenson. Doris was raised in Dillon, Twin Bridges and Butte, Montana, and Boston, Massachusetts. She graduated from Butte High in 1967 and earned her associate degree in Business in 1994.
