Marjorie B. Tiffney, an eight year resident of Colville, Wash. passed away on Sept. 10, 2010 in Spokane at the age of 93.  Marjorie was born on Jan. 22, 1917 in Dayton, Idaho, and is the daughter of Willard and Nora (Atkinson) Boden.

SANDERS COUNTY – On the evening of Monday, July 6 a suspected human-caused fire started above Graves Creek near the base of Cougar Peak in Sanders County near Thompson Falls and Forest Service firefighters from Mineral County were on hand to help deal with the sitaution.

Missoula law enforcement spent Tuesday, Jan. 30, going door-to-door in East Missoula looking for a man wanted on outstanding federal warrants. William “Billy” Dale Newhoff was captured in a mobile home after leading officers on a chase in a stolen pickup truck which he crashed into a house and tree and then fled on foot.

TFHS Drama Department pulls off "Once Upon a Mattress"

The Thompson Falls High School Drama Department’s production of “Once Upon a Mattress” went up for a three day run at the Rex Theatre downtown on Thursday. The musical comedy is an adaptation of the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale, The Princess and the Pea. Directed by Jennifer Haas, Rebecca Haag and Pam Peters, the ambitious effort was rewarded with a packed house during the performance on Friday.
