LaMoyne Marilyn Ross
LaMoyne Marilyn Ross was born February 8, 1925 in Denair, California. She married Arthur Lee Ross on January 20, 1942 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. In 1955, they moved and bought a ranch in Stevensville, MT. In 1964, they moved to Trout Creek where they resided till their deaths. Art died in a sawmill accident in 1968. LaMoyne lived a long, full life, loved by many as she was always there to give a helping hand, never knowing a stranger. LaMoyne had 5 children, Art Jr. and Carl (deceased), 3 still living. Sam Ross (JoAnn), Berniece (Chris) Ingbretson and Rory Ross, all of Trout Creek. She was ready to go to our Lord on January 19th and is now in His loving care and at peace. She had 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial at the Community Church will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. on January 26th. There will be a potluck luncheon following at the Senior Citizen Center immediately following the service.

On Monday, Feb. 20, both the Lady Clark Fork Mountain Cats, and the Lady St. Regis Tigers played district challenge games and won second place, each earning a spot in divisionals as a result.

The Mineral County Medical Foundation will be holding their annual spring fundraising event on May 12 and will feature local historian, Hal Stearns giving his talk entitled, “Montana Towns: Then, Now, Tomorrow.”
