Members of the St. Regis community got together with school officials, teachers and students for a chili-feed/potluck supper and school open house Wednesday evening to get to know different members of the community and explore the exciting things the students of St. Regis school are doing.

Teams join together to save Christmas display in Plains

PLAINS - The Sanders County Community Market is proud to announce they have Partnered with Missoula’s Eagle Satellite in a bid to save this year Christmas lights at the Sanders County Fair Grounds. The “Drive Through Santa” Christmas display has brought families and friends together for years with a fantastic festival of light the whole community loves.  But the ever increasing expense to run the light display has led to the potential black out this year – unless action to save them is taken now.

The Alberton branch of the Mineral County Library is holding a fundraiser on Jan. 27 called “The Armchair Traveler Wine Tasting.” It’s from 4-7 p.m. at the Alberton Community Center. Tickets are currently available. The event will include a wine and cheese/chocolate pairing, with wine provided by Hidden Legends Winery, Ten Spoons Winery and Missoula Winery.

Elks provide funding for emergency equipment

Mineral Community Hospital received a gift on Wednesday, June 14, when Dennis Cooper, a Trustee with the Montana State Elks Association presented hospital CEO Ron Gleason with a check for $2,700. Cooper drove over from Deer Lodge to present the check, which was the result of grant application made by the hospital.
