ALBERTON - Both Alberton high school boys and girls track and field competitors placed among the top student athletes at the Jim Johnson Invitational April 3 in Missoula.

LOYOLA - The Loyola Invitational in Missoula was a success for Superior High School, as one of their own placed in the top ten where over 100 players from other area schools also participated in the event.

Ed Hollenback
Ed passed away after a courageous 2 year battle with cancer. Ed went peacefully to be with the Lord on March 22, 2014 in the presence of his loving wife Eleanor, five children, and numerous grandchildren and close family members. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, brother Richard, sister Mary Lou, infant son Brian Keith, infant daughter Lynn Marie and grandson Parker Joseph.

PLAINS – The roads of Plains have felt the wrath of the harsh winter weather the county recently experienced and in an attempt to repair the roads, the Public Works Department has used 25 tons of patch to fill in potholes.

Plains golfers on par for start of season
PLAINS – Rain drizzled off and on from the blanket of gray clouds covering the rolling green hills. On this day, a group of students and their coaches took to the footpath with their bags in tote. They diverged, chose their clubs and teed off. Their eyes followed their golf balls as they soared towards the horizon.

PLAINS – Sanders County citizens lined up to see what the local vendors had to offer in the Plains High School gym. They walked around looking at the floor samples provided by Buckingham Hardwoods or the handmade blankets from Demarle At Home. Many enjoyed “Lucy” the Spinone Italiano dog making good use of the cozy dog beds available.
