Girls Scouts troop enjoys visit from mayor
The Superior Girl Scouts, Troop 3802, had a Presidents Day treat when they hosted Superior’s mayor, Roni Philips, at a recent meeting. Mayor Philips discuss government, democracy, and women in leadership to 14 of the grade school girls in attendance.

As flooding continues around Mineral County, sand is available at the Superior town yard located near the Town Pump. Sandbags are available at the Superior Fire Department. Sand and bags are also available at the St. Regis and Frenchtown Rural Fire Departments.

Mineral County Performing Arts will host some old time Cajun/Creole music this Wednesday, Oct 4th. First, Dennis Stroughmatt et l’Esprit Creole will conduct a workshop/assembly at the Superior High School gym from 2:30 to 3:30, with the public encouraged to attend. Then the formal concert will be at the LDS church in Superior at 7:00 PM. This is supported in part by a grant from the Montana Arts Council, an agency of the State Government.

Dec. 5, 1957: Santa to Make Deliveries—A horse-drawn sleigh will be used by Gambles Store in Superior to deliver purchases before Christmas, according to Ed Freer, store owner. Freer has the bright red conveyance on display in his store window. Check with him for more details.
