Gary Lee Ovitt
Gary was born in Two Harbors, MN on May 28, 1942 to Wilfred Francis Ovitt and Mary Emma Coleman Ovitt (Pearson). He was second in a line of 13 kids. He passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on May 19, 2018. He fought a good fight of several health conditions, but finally surrendered to complications of diabetes and heart disease.

Two small wildfires reported in Mineral County
The Superior Ranger District reported that there was no fire activity in the area west of Superior. However, two small blazes broke out in the Nine Mile Ranger District over the weekend. A 12-acre blaze called the Burdett Fire was reported nine miles southeast of Tarkio. It is in a remote area caused by lightning.

Arlee School District will host the faculty and staff who will travel from the Missoula campus to show camp participants how to engineer puppets with moving parts, create robots using a variety of technologies, and explore chemistry through cooking.

The 2013 Sanders County fair started, at least for me, on Thursday. We were all in the Valley Press office having our weekly staff meeting, and I was trolling Justyna and Colin about fair week. They get to run around the fairgrounds taking photos all week long, and they get paid for it. Pretty light duty, in my opinion.
