Fifth-seeded St. Regis Lady Tigers marched through 14C District play to face third-seeded Charlo in the championship game on Saturday night in Pablo. They landed in second place after a loss, 37-17. The Tigers surprised the top-seeded team, Plains, on Friday with a win, 44-36.
Radio station gets a boost
ST. REGIS – More people in Mineral County can now hear the broadcasts from a radio station in St. Regis after a new transmitter was recently installed, greatly improving the range of the signal.
St. Regis teams beat Lincoln, lose to Charlo
St. Regis had a good night against Lincoln on Saturday night at St. Regis. The Lady Tigers took an early lead and held onto it for a 55-15 win. Madison Hill was the evening’s high scorer with 25 points, followed by Courtney Cheesman with 12. The boys went head to head with Lincoln, beating the Lynx 55-49. Brock Cantrell-Field took charge in the fourth quarter, scoring 16 of his game total 39 points.

The St. Regis boys basketball team had a rough beginning at the Western C Divisional tournament in Frenchtown as defending state champ Manhattan Christian beat it, 77-43, last Thursday.

Final Four-legged fever hit Mineral County last week as donkeys hit the floor boards in the St. Regis gym. The junior high school class brought the floppy-ear critters to town through Donkey Sports Inc. as a fundraiser where students and staff from St. Regis and Superior faced-off for braying rights.
